Chief’s RPA SERIES
ceiling mount with the new exclusive All-Points™ Security
System combines classic features with reliable security to
make the top selling LCD projector mount better than ever.
All-Points™ is integrated into the RPA at no additional
cost, is optional to use and preserves all distinct features
of the RPA including: independent Roll, Pitch and Yaw
adjustments, easy installation, three possible mounting
methods and low profile design.
All-Points™ Security
System
Chief’s exclusive All-Points™ is an integrated security
system that uses tamper-proof parts and a steel-into-steel
design to lock the mount at all key connection points:
bracket-to-projector, mount-to-bracket, and Roll, Pitch and
Yaw adjustments.
SPECIFICATIONS
Roll Adjustment: +/- 4 degrees adjustment up or down.
Loosen screw, adjust mount and tighten screw to hold
adjustment.
Pitch Adjustment: +/- 25 degrees adjustment on each
side of the mount. Loosen screw, adjust mount and tighten
screw to hold adjustment. Full range of pitch in a flush mount
installation.
Yaw Adjustment: 360 degrees can be made by turning the
mount on the threaded column and securing in place with set
screw. 10 degrees yaw possible on flush mount using slots in
top of RPA.
Mounting Methods:
1. Flush Mount to suitable ceilings using the four corner
slots in top of the RPA mount. RPA now allows you to flush
mount without disassembly by providing suitable access for
screwdrivers and socket sets. +/- 25 degrees of pitch when
flush mounted. 10 degrees yaw possible on flush mount with
slots in top of RPA (Hardware not included).
2. 1/4" Threaded Rod using the four corner slots in the
top of the RPA. (Threaded rod not included.)
3. 1 1/2" NPT Threaded Extension Column using the
threaded coupler at the top of the RPA mount. (Threaded
extension column not included.)

Quick Projector
Disconnect/Reconnect
To quickly and easily remove the projector from the ceiling:
loosen the thumb nuts on the bracket portion of the mount and
lift up and off removing projector and hanger bracket. The
universal top retains the registration adjustments. This
feature makes projector servicing and maintenance quick and
easy without having to re-register. (Use included security
Allen wrench to disconnect when thumb nuts are replaced with
All-Points™ Security System hardware.)
Lateral Shift
Accessory
Chief’s LSB-100 for RPA installations allows 3"
right/left lateral adjustments to center the lens. This
accessory keeps the quick disconnect feature of your RPA for
easy projector disconnect/reconnect. An additional 2 3/4"
right/left lateral adjustment is possible for projectors under
15 lbs. The LSB-100 comes with All-Points™ Security System
hardware to secure the lateral shift at RPA and bracket
connection points.

The Smart-Lift Electric Ceiling
Lift for LCD/DLP projectors is a reliable, heavy-duty and
affordably priced video lift mechanism.
The SL-150
is designed for home theater, conference room or school
applications. Smart-Lift provides an attractive solution to
recess a projector in the ceiling. The same unit can also be
flush mounted to a finished ceiling to provide projector
protection and security which may be required in a classroom
installation.
The SL-236
is a solution for installations that have up to 36"
vertical travel requirements. The SL-236 is designed for home
theater, conference rooms or auditorium applications. It's uni-body
construction gives the Smart-lift 36" an attractive
clamshell construction versus the standard two-sided scissor
arms.

SL-150 and SL-236 are in compliance with the National
Electrical Code requirements outlined in NEC Article 300.22 C
when installed in accordance with Chief's instructions for

CEILING: When ordering you must specify the ceiling
enclosure by adding a suffix to the model number you are
ordering. Add suffix FD for a Finished Ceiling; or SP for
Suspended Ceiling. Example: If you are ordering a SL-236 for a
finished ceiling, specify model SL-236FD.
POWER: SL-236 is
available in 120V or 230V. When ordering a 230V please add the
suffix I to the full model number. Example: When ordering a
Smart-Lift 236 with 230V power, order a SL-236I.
BRACKETS: SLB: All smart
lift models require the appropriate bracket be ordered
separately. When ordering a bracket for the lift the SLB
portion is all that is needed. For example: When ordering a
bracket for the Smart Lift Series, with an INFOCUS 1200
projector, order the SLB-200. Call us for the appropriate SLB
Bracket.
UPB: The UPB-1 Upright
Projector Bracket allows you to hang a projector in an upright
position and retain the pitch and roll adjustments of the
Smart-Lift. The UPB-1 will accommodate projectors up to
9.12" H x 17.25" W x 20" D
