The Kramer VP-210xl is a high performance Line Amplifier for VGA/XGA signals. It accepts one input, provides correct buffering and isolation, loops it out to a local monitor or another acceptor and outputs an amplified and equalized signal to a remote acceptor. The machine provides output level control and cable equalization, using two rotary controls on the front panel of the machine. The machine allows input signal termination and ID bit control via its bottoms using 4 small switches.

Video bandwidth exceeding 380 MHz ensures that the VP-210xl remains transparent even at the highest resolution UXGA modes (1600x1200). It is ideal for remote monitor applications, or presentation systems requiring a local monitor and a large screen display such as a projector, at close or remote locations. A 12V power supply is included. The VP-210xl is part of the Kramer TOOLS family of compact, high quality, and cost effective solutions for a variety of applications.

The Kramer VP-25xl is a high quality Presentation Switcher / Scaler designed for a wide variety of presentation and multimedia applications. In one high performance unit, it combines the functions of a 4x1 switcher for composite video, a 4x1 switcher for s-Video, and a 4x1 switcher for VGA/XGA-type signals, all with their appropriate balanced stereo audio channels, and it also includes a high performance video scaler. The VP-25xl is designed to be a one-box solution for installations that would otherwise require several separate products. Each section can be controlled independently of the others. The scaler function can also be controlled independently, and is available on a separate HD-15 output. Any of the selected composite or Y/C inputs is available on the scaler output socket, and the user can select from three scaled output resolutions – 640x480(VGA), 800x600(SVGA) and 1024x768(XGA).

The graphics input is routed “as-is” to the scaled output. The machine allows full ProcAmp processing of the scaled outputs, as well as H and V alignments. The selected inputs are simultaneously available on separate output sockets. The VP-25xl is controlled by front panel buttons or by RS-232 serial commands transmitted by a touch screen system, personal computer, or other serial controller. The VP-25xl has an additional audio switching section which routes one of the audio inputs from the other switching sections to a separate output. This switching section can insert an additional microphone channel - either by switching, mixing or talk-over. Master audio output levels can be changed by RS-232 commands. Front-panel controls adjust VGA/XGA output level and EQ, master audio output level and microphone level.

The Kramer VP-720DS and the VP-723DS are true multi-standard video to RGBHV scalers that convert video, s-Video, component video (SDTV and HDTV), VGA-through-UXGA, and DVI-D signals to ten user-selectable pixel rates: VGA (640x480), SVGA (800x600), XGA (1024x768), SXGA (1280x1024), UXGA (1600X1200), 1024x852, 1024x1024, 1366x768, 1365x1024 and 1280x720. The VP-723DS has three additional output modes: 480p, 720p and 1080i in component format with tri-level sync. The machines also act as 7-input Seamless Presentation switchers. Both machines digitally reprocess the signal to correct mastering errors, and regenerate the video at a higher line and pixel rate format, providing native-resolution video for LCD, DLP and Plasma displays. Both models allow scaling of any graphics resolution to any other resolution (scaling for example, a VGA input to an UXGA output, or an SXGA input to an SVGA output, etc). The machines incorporate a unique graphics-scaling engine with image enhancement algorithms, which are built into the firmware.

Both models are specifically designed to improve video quality by reducing Chroma noise. On top of that, they include a built in Picture-in-Picture inserter, allowing the insertion of any video source into a graphics background and vice versa, as well as allowing the inserted image to be sized and positioned anywhere on the screen. In addition, the PIP can display a Split-Screen (2 images side by side). Audio channels are switched in audio-follow-video mode. The units can be controlled via front panel touch keys, Infra Red remote control, and RS-232. They feature a user-friendly on-screen display for making the adjustments. The VP-720DS/VP-723DS incorporate a full scale ProcAmp for video and audio correction and enhancement, and offer 3:2/2:2 pull down. They are housed in a 19" 1U, rack-mountable metal enclosure and use a universal 100-240VAC automatic power supply.
